UNIPORT Is The Overall Winner Of 25th NUGA Games

University Of Portharcourt has won 150 medals comprising 70 gold, 47 silver and 33 bronze to emerge overall winners of the 25th Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) Games. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the games were held at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi between April 22 and April 29. The medals table released by the NUGA secretariat on Saturday in Makurdi, showed that a total of 57 universities contested for medals at the sports fiesta. It also showed that UNIPORT won laurels in Judo, Athletics, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Basketball, Scrabble and Tennis. Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria with 16 medals comprising 11 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals followed a distant second while Benson Idahosa University came third with 26 medals comprising 10 gold, 7 silver and 9 bronze. Fatal landslide kills 24 in Kyrgystan's Osh, Asia

Misfortune struck in isolated village killing 24 people, including nine children, after they'd been warned  earlier to evacuate. what was mearnt to be a blessing caused a disaster for people living in Kyrgystan. Strong rain triggered landslides in Kyrgystan's Osh region, burying part of a village and killing at least 24 people, including nine children. The landslide  swept  over the village of Ayu at 6:40am local time (00:40GMT) on Saturday and buried six houses with inhabitants inside. District official Alisher Bakyshev told local media residents had been ordered to leave by the emergencies ministry in March because of the risk of landslides, and 34 families evacuated their homes but some later returned.

JAMB MOCK EXAM HOLDS 29TH APRIL 2017

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board [JAMB] has began dispatching the new exam center, date and time for the 2017 UTME Mock Test scheduled to now hold on April 29th, 2017. Messages are now being sent via SMS and Mail. Many students who received text from JAMB, Confirmed this information, although they were told to simply check their JAMB Profile or Mail to view or download their Mock Test Schedule.
